Sanctuary - 3/20/20 to 4/10/20 at The Art Studio Inc. in Beaumont, TX

Sanctuary is an intensive study of the Roy E. Larsen Sandyland Sanctuary - an almost 6000 acre plot of land managed by the Nature Conservancy in Silsbee, Texas. It is somewhere I have often gone to seek solace in nature. Sanctuary is as much a science project as an art show. I have spent a lot of time studying the Sandyland ecosystem by painting and drawing from life, as well as researching and documenting my observations of the diverse flora and fauna that live there. My goal is for this project to inspire curiosity and open a window for people to view this beautiful ecosystem. Below are some of the studies that I have been working on since January 2020 in preparation for my show.

Sanctuary is currently on exhibit at The Art Studio Inc.’s pop-up gallery. If you are interested in purchasing any available artworks, please call The Art Studio Inc. at 409-838-5393.
